Our Story

Roasts for Coasts is a family-owned small business founded in 2023 out of the love for coffee and the passion for giving back. What started as a conversation turned into the drive to start a business and quickly lead to the foundation of Roasts for Coasts Coffee Co.

My name is Adele, I love coffee and I love our coasts. It all started back in 2019 when a trip to the Outer Banks turned into the desire to give back to the community. There, I was lucky enough to visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial, soak up the rays on the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, tour Fort Raleigh National Historic Site and stop at every lighthouse along the way. I got the pleasure of meeting the volunteers at Outer Banks Forever and learn about the impact they are making along the coast of North Carolina.

I knew I wanted to help, but little did I know I would soon meet the love of my life and become a mother to my beautiful daughter. Trust me when I say that we would not have been able to survive every stage of parenthood without coffee. Coffee has since become an every-day consumtion in our home and with that love, paired with my longing passion to give back to the planet, Roasts for Coasts was created.

Meet the Owners

Adele and Bart met each other while working at Napa Auto Parts in Aurora, Colorado. Their passion for cars, coffee, and travel quickly built a strong relationship that soon led to the growth of their family. In June of 2021, they welcomed their daughter, Myla and decided to move to Kansas City, Missouri with their two cats and their dog, Harley. They love to relax, travel, and experience new adventures together and would someday love to move back to their home in Colorado.

By partnering with organizations that fight to reduce the amount of plastic in our oceans, help ensure the lasting survival of our endangered marine life, and preserve and enhance our national parks along the coast, our donations help fund the research, campaigns, programs and educational initiatives needed to carry out our vision of a better planet for us and our marine life.
